raphaëlle nenert, oboe
A 24-year-old oboist with a master's degree from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels,
where she studied under Eric Speller and Sébastien Vanlerberghe, Raphaëlle is passionate about chamber and orchestral music.
She was a member of the Flanders Youth Orchestra and participated in the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra.
She has played with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, the Victor Hugo Franche-Comté Orchestra, the Belgium Air Force Band, and the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia.
She was a member of the Belgian National Orchestra Academy and the La Monnaie Opera Academy for the 2023/24 season.
With a desire to make classical music accessible to as many people as possible, she trained in cultural mediation with Mark Withers and worked for the Passerelles branch of the Festival d'Aix en Provence.
She occasionally works in youth centres and retirement homes and has completed an internship in the Audience Engagement department at Bozar.
In 2023, she founded Fabulo, a cultural mediation collective that creates participatory operas with all types of audiences, with four other musicians.
Their first production took place in Tunisia and was made possible thanks to the support of the Goethe Institut and Culture Moves Europe, a programme of the European Commission.
